QUOTING HEAD COACH KATIE CROWLEY

"After having just one game, I thought it was a great progression from last week with the exhibition game to this week. I thought that the kids took what we said in things we needed to work on and really worked on that and did a better job. For tomorrow, I want to tighten up our D-zone a little bit, and try to get our kids used to that a little bit more than what they've had to face. (Minnesota Duluth) is a good team. They come at you hard. They're physical, so we have to be ready for that tomorrow."

HOW IT HAPPENED<.B>

- Dana Trivigno got the Eagles on the board just 2:04 into the first when she re-directed a Toni Ann Miano shot from the point. Makenna Newkirk recorded her first career point with the second assist on the play.

- Andie Anastos staked the Eagles to a 2-0 lead at 7:09 of the first after Haley Skarupa stripped the puck off a defender at the top of the circle and Anastos ripped a shot from the hash marks past Bulldogs goaltender Kayla Black

- Alex Carpenter pushed the lead to 3-0, picking up a power-play goal at 9:16 of the 3rd. She skated down the right wing, cut inside and beat Black five-hole as Kenzie Kent and Megan Keller picked up the assists on the play

- Anastos' second goal game as the second period wound down. At 19:18 of the 2nd, she took Meghan Grieves' pass and found space between Black's left leg and the post for the 4-0 lead. Skarupa also had an assist on the play.
