AROUND HOCKEY EAST: The Vermont Catamounts earned a weekend split with #3 Clarkson, taking 3-2 win at home on Friday night, thanks in part to two goals from Alyssa Gorecki (Monee, Ill.) and 35 saves from Sydney Scobee (Minnetrista, Minn.) ... Maine earned five league points in three games last week, toppling Northeastern and UConn and drawing with #9 Providence. Tereza Vanisova (Strakonice, Czech Republic) racked up six points (1g, 5a) the three outings, including setting up the two game-winning goals. She now has 16 helpers on the year, second-most in the country ... #2 Boston College split a road series at #8 St. Lawrence that saw goaltender Katie Burt (Lynn, Mass.) earn her 100th career victory, becoming just the fourth NCAA women's goaltender to hit that milestone. She is 14 wins back of Minnesota's Noora Raty (114), the all-time wins leader ... Northeastern took a 1-1-1 record in league play on the weekend, including a shutout win over Merrimack on Friday. Rookie netminder Aerin Frankel (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) stopped 51 of 52 shots in two outings against the Warriors and became the first Husky goaltender to pitch a shutout in her first career start since the Hockey East era began in 2002 ... UConn's Natalie Snodgrass (Eagan, Minn.) potted three goals for the Huskies in a 0-1-1 weekend against BU and Maine ... New Hampshire welcomed #4 Colgate to Durham for a two-game set, dropping each of the outings.

ALYSSA GORECKI - VERMONT

Alyssa Gorecki (Monee, Ill.) found the back of the net twice for the Catamounts in a 3-2 win over #3 Clarkson Friday at home. She finished the weekend home-and-home series with a plus-two rating.

MICHELLE WEIS - MAINE

Michelle Weis (Charlottenlund, Denmark) potted four goals in three games for Maine last week, including the game-winning goal with 35 seconds left in overtime in a 4-3 win over UConn on Sunday.

AERIN FRANKEL - NORTHEASTERN

Aerin Frankel (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) stopped 51 of 52 shots in two games against Merrimack on the weekend, including her first career shutout on Friday in a 2-0 win, becoming the first Husky goaltender to pitch a shutout in her first career start since 2002. She doubled back with a career-high 32 saves on Saturday in a 1-1 tie at Merrimack.

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Makenna Newkirk, BC (Jr., F; Scottsdale, Ariz.) Scored three times in a road split at #8 St. Lawrence.

Daryl Watts, BC (Fr., F; Toronto, Ont.) Dished out four assists in a 6-3 win at #8 St. Lawrence.

Toni Ann Miano, BC (Sr., D; Bronx, N.Y.) Had a goal and an assist in a 6-3 win at St. Lawrence Saturday and finished plus-four on the weekend to lead the league in that category.

Corinne Schroeder, BU (Elm Creek, Man.) Stopped 23 shots in a 2-2 tie with UConn and has yet to allow more than a pair of goals in any of her five starts this year.

Victoria Bach, BU (Sr., F; Milton, Ont.) Earned her 100th career Hockey East point Friday night, assisting on a goal off the stick of Rebecca Leslie.

Natalie Snodgrass, UConn (Fr., F; Eagan, Minn.) Potted three goals in a 0-1-1 weekend against BU and Maine.

Tereza Vanisova, ME (So., F; Strakonice, Czech Republic) Racked up six points (1g, 5a) in three games, helping Maine go 2-0-1 on the week, including a 2-2 tie with #9 Providence.

Carly Jackson, ME (So., G; Amherst, N.S.) Earned a 2-0-1 record in three games, including two overtime tilts. She made a season-high 36 saves in a 2-2 tie against Providence to stop a total of 78 saves o the weekend.

Maureen Murphy, PC (Fr., F; Buffalo, N.Y.) Scored twice for the Friars in a 2-2 tie at Maine on Friday.

Sydney Scobee, UVM (So., G; Minnetrista, Minn.) Kicked out 35 saves in a 3-2 win Friday and made 46 stops in a 4-0 loss the next day in two outings against #3 Clarkson. She allowed just one even-strength goal on 87 shots.
