Boston College's Newkirk Tapped Top Rookie, Burt is Best Goalie
Kendall Coyne - Northeastern

Kendall Coyne led the nation in scoring in February, racking up
18 points and a national-best 13 goals in just eight games. She
found the back of the net in seven of her eight contests during
the month, including five games with multiple goals and one hat
trick in a quarterfinal game against Providence. She netted the
game-winning goal in the Beanpot semifinals to push the Huskies
into the championship game and scored seven points (5g, 2a)
in a playoff series to propel her squad into the WHEA semifinal
weekend.

Makenna Newkirk - Boston College
Forward; Scottsdale, Arizona
Newkirk picked up 17 points in the month of February, leading
all freshman in the NCAA in scoring. She netted six goals and
dished out 11 helpers on the month. The 11 assists ranked second
in the country among all skaters in the country, behind only
teammate Megan Keller. She recorded at least one point in eight
of her team's nine games, all victories, and registered five multi-point
games, including five points in a two-game playoff series.

Katie Burt - Boston College
Sophomore; Lynn, Massachusetts
Burt continued her record-breaking sophomore campaign in
February, setting all-time program marks in single-season shutouts
(12) and career shutouts (22) in just her second year. She
captured the Bertagna Award as the statistical goaltending leader
in the Beanpot, pitching two blank sheets as the Eagles claimed
the fifth title in program history. In one week, she backboned BC to
two wins over No. 6 Northeastern, stopping 22 shots for a shutout
in the Beanpot title game and turning in a 27-save performance
just three days later against the Huskies.
