NORTH ANDOVER, Mass.- The Merrimack women's ice hockey team pushed back against the No. 1 Wisconsin Badgers with a 5-0 finish on Saturday afternoon.

How It Happened

- Wisconsin scored its first of the day in the opening minutes of the game, adding a second one late to take a 2-0 lead to finish the opening stanza. Merrimack worked an opportunity on a 5-on-3 early in the game, posting six shots in the first period.

- Daryl Watts scored the only goal for the Badgers in the second, with the defense standing tall with a 2-for-2 penalty kill to keep the game within reach.

- The Badgers notched two goals within a minute to stretch the lead, notching a power play goal to break the Warriors' efforts on the penalty kill for the day.

- Junior Emma Gorski turned 35 saves, turning 69 saves through both games in the weekend series.
