Boston University picked up a 6-3 victory at Massachusetts on Friday night, pushing the nation's current longest-win streak to five games entering the Beanpot final against No. 4 Boston College. Rookie forward Jordan Greenway (Canton, N.Y.) picked up two goals in the win over the Minutemen and finished plus-three in two outings ... Boston College claimed victory over Harvard in the Beanpot semifinals, 3-2, and then downed league rival New Hampshire Friday night, 4-3. The Eagles meet the Terriers in the Beanpot championship for the 22nd time in the 64-year history of the tournament Feb. 8 at TD Garden ... Notre Dame launched itself into first place in the Hockey East standings with a pair of road victories at Vermont. Cal Petersen (Waterloo, Iowa) stopped 61 shots to pick up two wins on the road and posted a 1.00 goals against average and .968 save percentage while Jordan Gross (Maple Grove, Minn.) registered four points (1g, 3a) ... Northeastern fell to Boston University, 3-1, in the opening round of the Beanpot, but rebounded to tie No. 8 UMass Lowell, 2-2, Friday night to take a point in league play. The Huskies have now taken points in their last five league tilts and are 7-1-2 in their last 10 overall ... Nick Ellis (Millersville, Md.) collected two victories at Maine for Providence, posting a .980 save percentage and earning his third shutout of the year in a 1-0 overtime win Friday night. In that same outing, Maine goaltender Matt Morris (Ridgewood, N.J.) made 50 saves, surpassing his previous career high by 10 stops.
