The next night, Terrier captain Matt Grzelcyk (Charlestown, Mass.) gave BU a 1-0 lead at 11:10 of the second stanza and held that lead until Ryan Fitzgerald (North Reading, Mass.) found the equalizer with 2:05 left in the third period to salvage a 1-1 draw ... UConn and goaltender Rob Nichols (Dallas, Texas) took three points from Maine at Alfond Arena thanks in part to the netminder's career-high 44 saves in a 1-0 win Friday night ... Northeastern extended its winning streak to four games and unbeaten streak to six contests with a pair of wins over with New Hampshire, earning its first victories in league play of 2015-16. The Huskies' Dylan Sikura (Aurora, Ont.) scored three goals for Jim Madigan's squad to lead Northeastern over the Wildcats, while rookie goaltender Ryan Ruck (Coto de Caza, Calif.) collected two wins against, posting a 2.00 GAA and .930 SV% ... No. 11 UMass Lowell continued to get excellent play from senior goaltender Kevin Boyle (Manalapan, N.J.), who tied a River Hawks record with his sixth shutout of the season Saturday night against UMass. Gage Hough (Omaha, Neb.) found the back of the net three times in two wins over Minutemen ... No. 3 Providence moved to 6-1-3 in Hockey East play with a pair of victories at Vermont thanks to Trevor Mingoia's (Montreal, Que.) five-point weekend (3g, 2a). He matched his career high of four points (2g, 2a) in Saturday's contest en route to a weekend that included scoring both game-winning tallies for the Friars ... Notre Dame now boasts the nation's longest unbeaten streak at 10 games (7-0-3) after two commanding victories over Merrimack last weekend. Sophomore Anders Bjork (Mequon, Wis.) racked up six points (2g, 4a) to push his point streak to eight games while rookie blueliner Bobby Nardella (Rosemont, Ill.) helped Spark the Irish offense with a five-point weekend (2g, 3a).
