AROUND HOCKEY EAST: Boston College junior netminder Thatcher Demko (San Diego, Calif.) continued his incredible run, collecting two more shutouts to record his sixth blank sheet in his last seven outings. Demko has two three-game shutout streaks this season, marking only the second time in the history of college hockey that such a streak has been put together. Eagles freshman forward Colin White (Hanover, Mass.) is riding a four-game point streak (2g, 7a) and has factored in on four of the last six game-winning goals for Boston College ... Boston University captain Matt Grzelcyk (Charlestown, Mass.) made his return to the Terriers lineup with a pair of goals in a weekend home-and-home against Northeastern. The senior defenseman sparked the offense in each game, helping his squad to two victories. The Terriers have won the first four home games of 2015-16, the first time they have achieved that feat since 2008-09 when BU captured the national title. Northeastern rookie forward Adam Gaudette (Braintree, Mass.) scored two goals and added an assist in the two games for the Huskies, extending his goal-streak to three games ... UMass Lowell took a pair of hard-nosed victories at Vermont, with senior goaltender Kevin Boyle (Manalapan, N.J.) picking up his sixth career shutout with a 32-save effort in Saturday night's 1-0 win. In Friday's 5-3 road victory, senior forward Michael Fallon (Glenview, Ill.) picked up three points (1g, 2a) for the River Hawks. Vermont junior forward Mario Puskarich (Jr., F; Fort Walton Beach, Fla.) posted a goal, assist and 10 shots on net in the two games for the Catamounts while rookie defenseman Mike Lee (Hamden, Conn.) netted his first career tally Friday night. ... Merrimack improved to 5-1-2 on the year with two wins over Bentley and Canisius, outscoring opponents, 8-3, off the back of sophomore goaltender Collin Delia (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.). Delia made several highlight reel saves, stopping 38 shots in 120 minutes of play ... Anders Bjork (Mequon, Wis.) helped Notre Dame to a weekend split with Minnesota, scoring a career high three points (1g, 2a) in Friday's 4-3 triumph. He added another helper Saturday to finish with a plus-three rating. Sophomore defenseman Jordan Gross (Maple Grove, Minn.) netted two goals for the Irish Friday night, including the late game-winner to secure the 4-3 victory ... Massachusetts ran its overall record to 6-2-1 with a two-game sweep of UConn. Rookie forward Austin Plevy (Langley, B.C.) had a four-point (2g, 2a) weekend, scoring his third game-winner of the year Friday night late in the period and assisting on the game-winner Saturday. Sophomore forward Dominic Trento (Brockport, N.Y.) racked up a five-point weekend on three goals and two assists ... New Hampshire dropped a pair of games at Michigan State, but saw continued production from Tyler Kelleher (Longmeadow, Mass.) and Andrew Poturalski (Williamsville, N.Y.). The duo rank tied for first and third, respectively, in overall scoring among Hockey East skaters.

THATCHER DEMKO - BOSTON COLLEGE

Demko continues his historic play after posting his sixth shutout in seven starts, putting together a two sets of three-game shutout streaks. Demko's run is only the second time in the history of college hockey the feat has been achieved. He currently sits atop the NCAA in shutouts (6), wins (8), save percentage (.974) and goals against average (0.67) after allowing just six goals in nine starts.

AUSTIN PLEVY - MASSACHUSETTS

Plevy continued the hot start to his collegiate career, collecting four points in a two-game sweep of UConn. He scored the game-winning goal Friday night, his third of the year, and followed up with a three-point outing with a goal in Saturday's 5-3 win, also assisting on two tallies, including chipping in on the game-winning goal.

MATT GRZELCYK - BOSTON UNIVERSITY

Grzelcyk made his 2015-16 season debut in style after offseason knee surgery. The Terriers captain scored the first goal in each of the two games he appeared in last weekend, leading the Terriers to a pair of victories over Northeastern in a home-and-home series. He added an assist in Friday's contest to finish the weekend with a plus-two rating.

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Colin White, BC (Fr., F; Hanover, Mass.) Registered four points (1g, 3a) in two wins against Maine, including assists on each of the game-winning tallies. White is riding a four-game point streak (2g, 7a) and leads the Eagles in overall scoring with 12 points (4g, 8a) on the year.

Ahti Oksanen, BU (Sr., F; Kirkkonummi, Finland) Netted the third-period game-winning goal and chipped in two assists in a 5-4 win Friday and scored an empty net tally in Saturday evening's victory.

Ryan Cloonan, BU (Fr., F; E. Longmeadow, Mass.) Helped BU to a home-and-home sweep with a goal Friday and a helper Saturday for two points on the weekend.

Matt Grzelcyk, BU (Sr., D; Charlestown, Mass.) Returned to the BU lineup by scoring the first goal in each game of a weekend sweep of Northeastern, adding an assist Friday.

Dominic Trento, UMass (So., F; Brockport, N.Y.) Had five points (3g, 2a) and two multi-point outings in a pair of wins over UConn, including the game-winner on Saturday. Blocked six shots and finished with a plus-four rating.

Austin Plevy, UMass (Fr., F; Langley, B.C.) Recorded four points (2g, 2a) to help UMass to two wins over UConn, including his third game-winning tally of the year.

Michael Fallon, UML (Sr., F; Glenview, Ill.) Picked up three points (1g, 2a) at Vermont, all coming in Friday's 5-3 victory at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

Kevin Boyle, UML (Sr., G; Manalapan, N.J.) Registered two road wins against conference rival Vermont by stopping 59 of 62 shots, including a 32-save shutout in a 1-0 win Saturday night.

Jared Kolquist, MC (So., D; Hermantown, Minn.) Assisted on three goals in a pair of Merrimack wins over Bentley and Canisius.

Mathieu Foget, MC (Fr., F; Orleans, Ont.) Registered his first three points (1g, 2a) as a Warrior last week. His power-play tally Saturday proved to be the game-winner over Canisius.

Collin Delia, MC (So., G; Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) Won both games Merrimack played last week, earning 1.50/.927 numbers at Bentley and Canisius.

Adam Gaudette, NU (Fr., F; Braintree, Mass.) Scored twice and added an assist in two games against No. 11/10 Boston University, riding a three-game goal streak.

Anders Bjork, ND (So., F; Mequon, Wis.) Helped the Irish to a weekend split against Minnesota with a four-point weekend (1g, 3a) and a plus-three rating.
