AROUND HOCKEY EAST: No. 1 Providence extended its unbeaten streak to 15 games, dating back to the 2014-15 season, and moved to 2-0-2 in league play with a weekend sweep of Northeastern. Mark Jankowski (Dundas, Ont.) recorded four points (3g, 1a) and netted two game-winning goals while Nick Ellis (Millersville, Md.) collected a pair of league wins, including a 21-save shutout Saturday ... Massachusetts added a pair of points in league play with two road draws against New Hampshire (2-2) and Merrimack (1-1) on the weekend. Rookie netminder Nic Renyard (Victoria, B.C.) backstopped the Minutemen, stopping 60 of 62 shots in 129:55 of play ... New Hampshire's dynamic duo of Andrew Poturalski (Williamsville, N.Y.) and Tyler Kelleher (Longmeadow, Mass.) continued to find the score sheet, posting four points (1g, 3a) and three points (1g, 2a), respectively, in two games this weekend for the Wildcats. The pair now sit first and second in total NCAA point-production, as Kelleher's 15 assists and 21 points are both best in the nation ... UMass Lowell and Notre Dame clashed in a pair of games at the Tsongas Center as the River Hawks took three points from the Irish. Nick Master (Broomall, Pa.) scored two goals, including the game-winning power-play goal Saturday night for UML while goaltender Kevin Boyle (Manalapan, N.J.) kicked out 61 of 64 shots. Irish rookie forward Dennis Gilbert (Williamsville, N.Y.) scored his first career goal for Notre Dame on the power play in Friday's 2-2 tie with UML ... The Maine Black Bears recorded the first two wins of 2015-16 at home last weekend, downing the Vermont Catamounts in a pair of contests at Alfond Arena. Dan Renouf (Pickering, Ont.) had a four-point weekend in the two Black Bears victories, netting two goals and adding two helpers. Maine goaltender Matt Morris (Ridgewood, N.J.) stopped 74 shots, including 21 in the third period of Friday's 3-2 win ... No. 3/2 Boston College got a pair of goals from Teddy Doherty (Hopkinton, Mass.), including his fourth power-play of the season and first game-winning strike of the year to down New Hampshire, 6-3, in the Eagles' only game of the weekend ... With the weekend's results in the books, there is now a fiveway tie for second place in the Hockey East standings with Boston College, Notre Dame, Boston University, Merrimack and UMass all holding eight points in conference play.

MARK JANKOWSKI - PROVIDENCE

Jankowski netted both game-winning goals in a two-game weekend sweep of Hockey East foe Northeastern. He scored three goals in the two contests and added an assist, including two power-play tallies. His point production launched him into a five-way tie for the national lead with five power-play goals.

NICK MASTER - UMASS LOWELL

Master scored two goals in a home weekend series with the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Included in his production for the River Hawks was a tally in each contest and he netted game-winning power-play goal in Saturday's 3-1 win victory.

DAN RENOUF - MAINE

Renouf recorded four points on two goals and two assists in a two-game home stand against the Vermont Catamounts, helping to lead the Black Bears to their first two wins of the 2015-16 season. He factored in on all three Maine strikes Friday night as he scored two goals and added an assist in the 3-2 victory at Alfond Arena.

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Teddy Doherty, BC (Sr., D; Hopkinton, Mass.) Potted a pair of goals, including his fourth power-play and first game-winning strike.

Danny O'Regan, BU (Sr., F; Needham, Mass.) Scored a goal and added an assist in a two-game set with No. 12 Michigan.

Doyle Somerby, BU (Jr., D; Marblehead, Mass.) Collected the game-winning goal in Friday's 3-2 victory over the Wolverines and finished a team-best plus-three in the pair of games.

Matt Morris, Maine (Sr., G; Ridgewood, N.J.) Stopped 74 shots in two wins over Vermont, including 21 in the third period of Friday's 3-2 victory.
