- The Black Bears took the lead late in the opening period with a goal off of the power play by Ally Johnson. Johnson was assisted by Ida Press and Ida Kuoppala.
- Bailey Burton (Bloomington, Mass.) put the Friars on the board 15:53 into the second period period, equalizing the game at 1-1. Scoring her first goal of the season on the power play, Burton was assisted by Chloe Gonsalves (Toronto, Ontario) and Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany).
- Ally Johnson from Maine responded 5:24 into the third period with the game winning goal. In her second goal of the night, Johnson was assisted by Ella Maclean and Celine Tedenby.
- Abstreiter finished with 29 saves for Providence, while Porter had 33 for the Black Bears.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Friars return in the new year with a home-and-home series against Boston University. The Friars will host the Terriers at Schneider Arena on Friday, January 8th at 6:00 p.m. before traveling to Boston, Mass. on Saturday, January 9th.
