Senior defenseman Codie Cross had a goal and four assists for the Huskies

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team fell to No. 3 Northeastern, 7-0, Wednesday evening at the Hart Center.

The Crusaders opened the game strong, controlling play for stretches in the first period, but the Huskies scored a quick three goals over the final four minutes in the frame to take the lead. Shots after the first period were 8-7 in favor of Northeastern. The Huskies would add two more in each of the following periods to seal the victory.

Codie Cross led the way for Northeastern, scoring the first goal of the game and assisting on four more. For the Crusaders, Emma Lange and Rachel Moore both had three shots on goal. Julia Pelletier got the start in goal and made 24 saves.


UP NEXT:

Holy Cross will have a month off from game action before returning after the new year for a home-and-home with UConn, starting on Jan. 3 at 6 p.m. in Connecticut.
