GAME RECAP

- The game was still scoreless after one period of play; shots were even at 4-4 but a total of three power play opportunities were had, two for UNH and one for UConn.

- The first goal of the contest came 16 minutes into the second period. After an attempted UConn clear, freshman Annie Berry (Milton, Mass.) collected the puck in the neutral zone and charged the net; she was able to flip the puck through the crease to the left side of the net and Sasaki poked the puck through after her initial chance bounced off the skate of Fisher.

- UNH added insurance on the power play 15:40 into the third period as a scrum behind the net was one by Grace Middleton (Midland, Mich.) and poked out to Rae Breton (Brighton, Ontario) on the right-side boards. Breton sent a feed out in front of the net and Jada Christian redirected it with a one-timer that found the back of the net through traffic.

- The Huskies pulled their goaltender with just under two minutes remaining but neither team was able to manage a goal.
