Sophomore goaltender Samantha Carpentier-Yelle made 18 saves for the Huskies

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross women's hockey team lost to UConn, 6-0, Saturday afternoon at the Hart Center Rink. It was the third and final game of the three-game Hockey East series between the two teams.

UConn took the lead in the first with a pair of goals from Taylor Wabick and Catherine Crawley. They would score twice in each of the following frames to claim the win.

Jada Brenon and Julia Pelletier combined for 33 saves in goal for the Crusaders. Rachel Moore and Mary Edmonds each had three shots on goal in the game.

For the second time in two games against the Huskies, the Crusaders were perfect on the penalty kill, going 3-for-3 today after a 5-for-5 performance yesterday.

Holy Cross is back in action Friday, Jan. 10 when it travels to Maine for two contests.
