HOCKEY EAST PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Alina Mueller - Northeastern
Senior Forward; Winterthur, Switzerland
Mueller returned from injury in November and was tied for the
team-lead in points and assists in the month of November with
two goals and 10 assists for 12 points. Her two goals came on
the power play, while her assists notched her a six-game point
streak to end November. Mueller also won 55% of her face offs
taken with 67 wins and 55 losses, and was a plus-eight rating on
the month, a team-high.

PRO AMBITIONS ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Abby Newhook - Boston College
Forward; St. John’s, New.
Newhook led all Boston College players with eight points on four
goals and four assists in the month of November. The freshman
forward scored two game-winning goals for the Eagles in each of
their victories on the month. She had three multi-point games in the
month, including a two-goal outing in a 2-1 win over Providence.
She fired 23 shots on goal and had a plus-four rating. She now
has four game-winning goals on the year.

HOCKEY EAST DEFENDER OF THE MONTH
Skylar Fontaine - Northeastern Graduate Student; East Greenwich, R.I.
Fontaine is named Defender of the Month for the second consec-
utive time to start 2021-22. The grad student notched a two-goal,
10-assist month to tie Mueller at 12 points for the lead. One of her
goals came on the power play. Fontaine also chipped in on the
defensive side, leading the team with 19 blocks on the month,
one of five players on the roster with more than 10 blocks on the
month. She finished the month with a plus-six on ice rating.

HOCKEY EAST GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Aerin Frankel - Northeastern
Graduate Student; Briarclif Manor, N.Y.
Frankel earns her second straight Goaltender of the Month nod
after an undefeated November run. It was a milestone-laden
month for the graduate student, who went 6-0-1 in net making
189 saves. That save mark set a new school record for career
saves, and etched her name into the Northeastern record books
for the seventh time across career and single-season records.
She pitched two shutouts and allowed more than one goal only
once in seven appearances.
