Sophomore forward Celine Tedenby scored 38 seconds into overtime for the Black Bears

BOSTON- Despite a 52-25 lead in shots and a short-handed goal from Chloe Aurard, the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team suffered at 3-2 overtime loss to the Maine Black Bears on Sunday afternoon at Matthews Arena.

Maine (6-6-2, 4-5-1 HEAW) held a 2-0 advantage until midway through the second period when Veronika Pettey found the back of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1 off a rebounded shot from Jess Schryver. Matti Hartman was credited on the secondary assist.

Aurard scored her second short-handed goal of the season to end the second period and tie the game at 2-2. Alina Mueller and Skylar Fontaine recorded assists on the goal, stretching their respective point streaks to six and seven games.

Celine Tedenby found the game-winner in overtime for Maine and handed Northeastern (12-2-0, 9-2-0 HEAW) its second loss of the season. Goaltender Loryn Porter had 50 saves for the Black Bears.
