Junior goaltender Aerin Frankel made 20 saves for the Huskies

BOSTON, Mass. - Behind Aerin Frankel's 20 saves, the No. 4 Northeastern women's hockey team shutout No. 4 Boston University, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena and swept the home-and-home series with the Terriers.

With the shutout victory, Frankel now has 11 shutouts in her career to tie for fifth all-time in career shutouts at Northeastern (7-1-0, 4-1-0).

Tessa Ward scored her first goal of the season off a nifty redirect in front of BU's goal at the 15:24 mark of the first period to put the Huskies up 1-0. Megan Carter and Skylar Fontaine had the assists, with Carter's being her first collegiate point.

Veronika Pettey extended the Huskies lead to 2-0, after scoring her third goal of the season at the 5:35 mark of the second period, off a pass from Matti Hartman.

Northeastern held the narrow 22-20 edge in shots over Boston University (5-3-1, 2-3-1).
