CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Alexie Guay, Hadley Hartmetz and Hannah Bilka each scored a goal to help lead the Boston College women's hockey team to a 3-2 exhibition win over the Professional Women's Hockey Players' Association on Saturday afternoon at Kelley Rink.

The teams traded goals in the first period, with Megan Myers scoring for the PWHPA and Bilka earning a goal for the Eagles. Guay's power-play tally early in the middle frame gave BC its first lead of the game, only to see Myers pot her second of the game. But with less than three minutes to play in the second, Bilka fed Hartmetz for the eventual game-winning goal.

"That team had some very talented players so they were able to connect on a few goals but I really liked our effort on every shift," said head coach Katie Crowley. "This game was good for seeing a lot of different people in different scenarios."

Molly Barrow, Maddy McArthur and Kelly Pickreign each played a period in goal, making seven, four and three saves, respectively. Bilka and Hartmetz both finished with one goal and one assist while Guay had one goal and Lindsay Agnew one assist.

The Eagles went 1-for-4 on the power-play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.

BC alum Katie Burt got the start in net for the PWHPA, making 12 saves, while Brittany Ott played the second period and Jetta Rackleff made nine saves in the third period.

"It's always good to see what your team has, what they're doing well and what they need to work on and that's kind of what we used this game for," added Crowley.

The Eagles open up the 2019-20 season on Friday, Sept. 27 with a Hockey East clash at Merrimack.
