Sophomore goaltender Kelly Pickreign made 36 saves for the Eagles

BOSTON - Three different Eagles scored while Kelly Pickreign made a career-high 36 saves as the Boston College women's hockey team topped No. 10 Harvard, 3-1, in the Beanpot Tournament consolation game.

Alexie Guay opened the scoring with a power-play goal for the Eagles midway through the first period and then Delaney Belinskas and Hannah Bilka found the back of the net in the middle frame. The Crimson scored midway through the third period, but Pickreign made 14 stops in the frame to backstop the Eagles to the win while the team finished with 28 blocked shots.

BC went 1-for-3 on the power play while Harvard was 0-for-3. Harvard had the 37-25 lead in shots on goal. Beth Larcom finished with 22 saves for Harvard to Pickreign's 36.

SCORING

1st, 9:49 | 1-0, BC GOAL: Jillian Fey got the puck deep to Kelly Browne in the corner to the left of Larcom and Browne hit Guay drifting into the slot. Guay deked around a defender at the hashmarks and wristed the puck into the upper right corner.

2nd, 3:41 | 2-0, BC GOAL: Lindsay Agnew started a regroup at the BC blue line, finding Cayla Barnes up the left wing. Barnes fed the puck ahead to Belinskas who skated in and beat Larcom between the legs from the left circle.

2nd, 11:58 | 3-0, BC GOAL: From behind the Harvard net, Caroline DiFiore worked the puck free to Browne and Browne sent a pass up to the point for Hadley Hartmetz. Hartmetz sent a wrist shot towards the net that Bilka deflected inside the near post.

3rd, 11:24 | 3-1, HARVARD GOAL: Kristin Della Rovere carried the puck up the left boards and played a give-and-go with Anne Bloomer on a 2-on-1, potting the puck at the right post.


GAME NOTES

- BC is now 33-17-2 all-time in the Beanpot since becoming a varsity program (1995-present) with a record of 10-0-1 in the third-place game as a varsity team... as a varsity team, the Eagles are 8-11-0 against Harvard in the Beanpot with a mark of 2-0-0 in the consolation game.

- Overall, BC is now 16-27-1 in the all-time series against Harvard with a mark of 6-3-0 on neutral ice.

- Head coach Katie Crowley now has a career mark of 13-7-1 against the Crimson.

- Delaney Belinskas notched her 17th goal of the season, a new career-high for the senior ... she now has 21 points (17-4-21) on the year.

- The Eagles are now 7-0-1 this season when Hannah Bilka finds the back of the net.

- BC is 8-0-0 when Lindsay Agnew records a point and 6-0-0 when she has at least one assist.

- With her goal in the first period, Alexie Guay now has three goals and 16 assists for 19 points to lead all rookie blue liners in the country.

- Guay has now been on the ice for 45 goals scored which puts her first among all first-year players, ties for second among all defenders and sits tied for ninth overall in the country.

- Kelly Browne recorded two assists for her 14th career multi-point game and her eighth career multi-assist game.

- Jillian Fey and Bilka both finished with a game-high five blocks apiece ... the Eagles finished with 28 as a team.

- This was BC's first win this season over a ranked opponent ... the Eagles are 1-7-1 this year against ranked teams.
