PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The No. 7 Providence College women's hockey team avenged yesterday's overtime loss with a 2-1 victory over the University of Vermont on Sunday, Jan. 6 at Schneider Arena.

- With less than two minutes to play in the period, Vermont cut into the lead. Maude Poulin-Labelle scored her third career goal to make it 2-1. Alyssa Gorecki and Lilly Holmes assisted the goal.
- The third period featured back-and-forth action with several more penalties for both sides.
