Freshman forward Carlie Magier scored two goals for the Crusaders
Holy Cross Defeated By Harvard, 7-3

BOSTON - The Holy Cross women's hockey team lost to Harvard, 7-3, Tuesday evening at the Bright-Landry Hockey Center.

The Crusaders hung tough on a night where they scored three goals for the first time on the season. Combining just the first and third period scores, the game would have been tied 2-2. A troublesome second period where the Crimson outscored the Crusaders 4-1 was the issue.

Down 6-0, Holy Cross got something to click and outscored Harvard 3-1 for the remaining 30 minutes.

Junior Victoria Young got the first for the Crusaders half way through the second period for her first of the season. Junior Rachel Moore recorded her team-leading third assist on the play.

In the third period, Holy Cross put two on the board, both off the stick of Carlie Magier. The first was on a five-on-three when she received a pass from Emma Lange by the right post and was able to sneak it by the goalie. The second came on a deflection when Magier set up in front of the net and got her stick on the end of a blast by Young.

The Crusaders will take on No. 4 Boston College this Sautrday, Nov. 24 at 1:00 p.m. at home.
