BOSTON - Sophomore Deziray De Sousa notched her first goal of the season, but the Boston University women's ice hockey team fell to Maine, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon at Walter Brown Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

- De Sousa gave BU (7-11-4, 3-8-3 WHEA) some life with a power-play goal at 6:18 of the final frame. Redshirt sophomore Abbey Stanley dished the puck to junior Reagan Rust at the top of the Maine zone. De Sousa was standing in front of the cage and she redirected Rust's shot past Carly Jackson (22 saves).

- Freshman netminder Corinne Schroeder (32 saves) turned aside all eight attempts she faced in the third period as BU made a push for a second goal, but the Terriers were unable to light the lamp following De Sousa's tally.

- BU finished the day 1-of-2 on the power play while holding Maine to a 0-for-3 outing with a player advantage.
