Hanover, NH - The University of Maine Women's Ice Hockey Team started their 3 game road trip off with a big win over Dartmouth, 4-1.

Maine got on the board first with a late first period goal from Catherine Tufts, unassisted, giving the Black Bears a 1-0 lead after 1. Maine continued the scoring early in the second with a goal from Audra Richards, assisted by Mikayla Rogers.

Dartmouth answered back 3 minutes later with a goal from Morgan Turner, cutting Maine's lead in half. But in the third it was all Black Bears with goals from Eve Boissonneault, assisted by Alyson Matteau, and a second from Audra Richards, assisted by Brooklyn Langois.

Maine went with Mariah Fujimagary in net for her first start of the season, where she stopped 26 of 27 shots in taking the W.

The Black Bears are back in action this Sat and Sun traveling to Boston University to take on the Terriers. They return home on November 22nd to face Uconn.
