STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's ice hockey team (9-12-5, 5-8-3 WHEA) were shut out by No. 9 Princeton (16-4-1, 9-4-1 ECAC) Monday in its third game in four days and second consecutive ranked opponent.

Sophomore goaltender Annie Belanger (Sherbrooke, Quebec) racked up 38 saves for the Huskies, 18 of them came in the first period alone.

The remained scoreless for the first nine minutes of the game, but Princeton struck first at 9:36 and then again 12:51 to claim a 2-0 lead after just one period of play.

The Tigers tacked on another goal one minute into the second period, but UConn held Princeton the remaining 19 minutes, with Belanger stopping 11 shots to hold Princeton to a 3-0 lead.

Princeton knocked in another insurance goal 11:54 into the third period to seal it 4-0.
