ORONO, Maine - Black Bears Women's Ice Hockey dropped a Sunday afternoon bout with Connecticut by a score of 2-0, dropping to 3-7-0 in conference.

The Black Bears were blanked by UConn goaltender Elaine Chuli, who improves to 3-5-1 on the season after stopping all 38 shots she faced on the afternoon.

After successfully killing a power play from the Black Bears, UConn scored their first goal on the power play 13:51 into the first period, which was scored by Leah Buress.UConn lead 1-0 after the first period.

The score remained 1-0 until about midway through the third, when another goal off a Husky stick made it past Senior Goaltender Meghann Treacy. The goal came 7:38 into the third from Kayla Mee, giving the Huskies a 2-0 lead which would end up being the final. Treacy's record drops to 5-9-0; she stopped 19 of 21 shots.

The Black Bears go back on the road for Thanksgiving weekend and head to Robert Morris for a two game series, Friday Nov 27 at 7:05pm and Saturday Nov 28 at 3:00pm. They return home to Orono the following weekend for a 2-game series against top-ranked Boston College, Saturday Dec 5 and Sunday Dec 6, both at 2:00pm.
