Junior forward Emily Field scored two goals for the Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Eleven different Eagles recorded a point and Andie Anastos, Kate Leary, Haley Skarupa and Taylor Wasylk each had a goal and an assist as No. 2 Boston College beat Dartmouth 7-2 Sunday afternoon at Kelley Rink.

Dartmouth scored the first goal of the game at 1:06 when Lindsey Allen took a shot from the slot that hit BC goaltender Megan Miller under the arm and trickled into the back of the net to give the Big Green a 1-0 lead.

After being held scoreless in the first period, BC exploded with six goals in the middle frame. The Eagles tied the game at 1:20 with a goal from sophomore Haley Skarupa, her team-leading seventh goal of the season. The Rockville, Md. native skated down the right side of the ice, swung behind the net, and shot the puck off Dartmouth goaltender Lindsay Holdcroft and in to even the score at 1-1.

Dartmouth responded a minute and 39 seconds later with Allen's second goal of the game, a wrist shot from just outside the crease on the power play, giving the Big Green a 2-1 lead.

The Eagles evened the score once again at 7:51 of the second period when Kate Leary passed the puck from behind the net to Kristyn Capizzano who blasted a shot inside the left post. Emily Field then gave the Eagles the lead for good at 11:58 of the second stanza, burying the rebound from Dana Trivigno's shot into the back of the net.

BC closed out the second period with three more goals in a span of less than two minutes. Taylor Wasylk started it off with a wrister from the slot that she lifted into the top of the net to give BC a 4-2 lead. Leary spread the lead to three when she pick up her own rebound and flipped a backhanded shot over Holdcroft's stick and into the goal. Field scored her second goal of the game at 18:04 with a wrister from the far end of the circle that found its way inside the post.

Anastos concluded the scoring at 6:24 of the final frame with a high shot from the slot. Haley McLean and Wasylk assisted on the play.

Miller stopped 15 shots and improves to 1-0-0. Holdcroft made 17 saves and falls to 0-1-0.

The Eagles (5-1-0, 1-1-0 WHEA) will travel to Syracuse on Oct. 25 and then Providence on Nov. 1.

Notes: Emily Field's first goal marker her 80th career point. Megan Miller recorded her sixth career win in her 10th start in goal.
