STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team concluded its regular season with a 4-2 loss to No. 4 Boston University on "Senior Day" at the Freitas Ice Forum, Sunday afternoon.

The Terriers (23-5-3, 18-2-1 Hockey East) scored 2:29 into the contest as junior Louise Warren lit the lamp. The Huskies (3-28-3, 1-19-1) answered at the 5:01 mark on a goal by freshman Brittany Berisoff (Kelowna, B.C.), her seventh of the season, assisted by seniors Maude Blain (Magog, Que.) and Kelly Horan (Methuen, Mass.).

With three minutes to go in the first, BU broke the 1-1 tie with a power play goal by senior Jenelle Kohanchuk. In the second period, the Terriers extended the lead when freshman Sarah Lefort found the back of the net. Lefort scored again early in the third to push the deficit to three.

UConn scored again with just five second left in the game. Sophomore Kayla Campero (Wallingford, Conn.), assisted by sophomore Sarah MacDonnell (Quispamsis, Que.) and senior Casey Knajdek (Woodbury, Minn.), registered her eighth goal of the season.

Freshman netminder Elaine Chuli (Waterford, Ont.) stopped 40 shots after making 43 saves against BU on Saturday. Junior Kerrin Sperry made 16 saves for the Terriers.

The two teams meet again on Saturday, March 2 in the Hockey East Quarterfinals best-of-three round in Boston, Mass.
