Freshman forward Dana Trivigno had three goals and two assists for the Eagles

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Freshman forward Dana Trivigno's hat trick and two assists capped a successful weekend for the No. 5/6 Eagles (10-3-2, 7-2-1 WHEA) as they defeated Maine 10-0 on Saturday.

Emily Field also recorded five points and the duo of Corinne Boyles and Taylor Blake combined to shutout the Black Bears for BC's third shutout in four games.

The Eagles picked up where they left off last night, striking for four goals in the final 10 minutes of the first period. Dana Trivigno (6) tipped Jackie Young's point shot at 10:32 and then the Eagles struck for three goals in the final two minutes. Trivigno (7), Emily Field (7), and Kate Leary (6) netted goals to give BC a 4-0 advantage after one period of play. Shots on goal after 20 minutes were 15-4 in favor of BC.

BC tacked onto their lead in the second as Trivigno netted her first career hat trick on a slap pass from Lexi Bender at 4:39. Ashley Motherwell (4) got on the board at 8:15 on a feed from Emily Field and Kate Leary (7) notched her second of the game just seven seconds later to put BC up 7-0 after 40 minutes. Shots on goal after two periods were 31-7 in favor of the Eagles.

The lone drama of the third period was whether Alex Carpenter could extend her point streak to 13 games, which she did with an assist on Haley Skarupa's 12th goal of the season at 13:15. Kristina Brown (4) and Melissa Bizzari (4) concluded the scoring as the Eagles put up their highest goal total since 1998.

BC extends their record breaking unbeaten streak to 11 games (9-0-2) and is currently riding a six game winning streak ...
