Sophomore forward Kellie Dineen scored a goal for the Catamounts

GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Monique Lamoureux-Kolls and Jocelyne Lamoureux each scored a goal and handed out an assist to lead No. 7 North Dakota to a 4-1 victory over the Vermont women's hockey team in non-conference action on Sunday afternoon at Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Fighting Sioux scored the final four goals of the contest, as the Catamounts fall to 0-3-2 on the year.

Sophomore Kellie Dineen gave the Catamounts the early edge when she made it 1-0 just 6:19 into the contest with her first goal of the year. Freshman Krystal Baumann and junior Emily Walsh each recorded their first assists of the season on the goal. The home team answered with only eight ticks left on the clock in the first period, as Kelsey Ketcher took advantage of a power play opportunity to send the two teams tied 1-1 heading into intermission.

Lamoureux-Kolls scored what proved to be the game-winner with 4:49 to go in the second period. North Dakota (3-3-0) struck again on the power play to push its lead to 3-1 when Sara Dagenais netted an unassisted goal 3:53 into the final period of play. Lamoureux added an even-strength tally with 1:11 left in the contest.

North Dakota goaltender Jorid Dagfinrud earned the win making 14 saves, while Roxanne Douville made 33 saves for the Catamounts in her third start of the season.
