Junior Danielle Welch had her first goal of the season for the Eagles

HAMDEN, Conn. - With a 3-3 tie at Quinnipiac on Friday, October 22, the Boston College women's hockey team falls to 4-0-1 despite strong performances from the offensive line.

Stack made it clear the Eagles came ready to play when she took control of the puck in the opening face-off and skated down to Quinnipiac's goal to put it between the pipes at 0:33 seconds. Taylor Wasylk and Danielle Doherty.

Danielle Welch followed suit with a first period goal of her own at 11:59, assisted by Mary Restuccia and Kristina Brown. It was Welch's first goal of the season.

The Bobcats fought back with a 15:06 goal to end the first period 2-1.

Wasylk scored at 2:30 in the second to increase BC's lead 3-1, but Quinnipiac answered with one in the second and another at 17:34 in the third to force a scoreless overtime period.

The Eagles held a slight edge in shots, 28-26. Goaltender Molly Schaus made 23 saves, 12 in the third period alone.

Next up, BC hosts Brown at Kelley Rink on Sunday, October 24 at 2:30 p.m.

Game Notes: Kelli Stack improved her scoring streak to four games...she has scored points in all five games this season...Taylor Wasylk's assist on Stack's goal marked the sixth time these two have teamed up on BC scores...tonight's tie means BC unable to make history by starting undefeated at 5-0-0 for the first time in program history.
