Senior Defenseman; Sauquoit, NY

Gigliotti started strong and finished stronger as the Friars pushed passed Connecticut for the third seed in the Women’s Hockey East championships this weekend. The senior from Sauquoit, NY, finished with 28 points on the season and was the league’s top-scoring defenseman.

Finished the regular season, and a remarkable four-year career at New Hampshire, as the all-time NCAA wins leader after notching victory No. 84. She was undefeated for the month, as UNH locked up another regular season title and the top seed in the upcoming championships.

Put the exclamation point on a stellar rookie campaign by setting the NCAA single-game saves record with 73 in a 4-3, triple-overtime win in the opening round of the Women’s Beanpot. Also backstopped the Eagles to a second-place finish in league standings, going 2-2-0 in league play for the month.
