Buie tallied seven points (2g,5a) in the weekend sweep of Maine at Schneider Arena. She tallied three assists in the 8-1 win on Saturday and then she recorded four points (2g,2a) in the Friars' 4-2 on Sunday vs. the Black Bears- to complete the weekend sweep. She totaled eight shots on goal and a +3 rating in the series. Warrior

The Friars earned a four-point weekend vs. Maine and outscored the Black Bears by a combined 12 to 3 score. Providence went 9-for-10 on the penalty kill and went 3- for-12 on the power play. PC outshot Maine, 77 to 45 for the series.

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Sarah Bryant, PC (So., G, Bethlehem, Pa.) Led the Friars to a weekend sweep over Maine with 45 saves (.933 save%).

Michela Cava, UConn (So., F, Thunder Bay, Ont.) Had four points (1g,3a) on the week, including two assists vs. No. 7 BC on Sunday

Kayla Campero, UConn (Jr., F, Wallingford, Conn.) Scored a goal and added an assist on Sunday vs. No. 7 BC, also had an assist at Brown.

Sarah Lefort, BU (So., F, Ormstown, Que.) Scored the game's opening goal in a 2-1 win at UNH on Sunday.

Katie MacSorley, NU (Sr., F, Stratford, Ont.) Scored three of Northeastern's four goals this weekend.

Sarah Moses, UConn (Sr., G, New Hamburg, Ontario) Saved 53-of-57 shots in two games, compiling a 0-1-1 record against Brown and No. 7 BC

Danielle Rancourt, UVM (Sr., F, Sudbury, Ontario) Scored her first two goals of the season Saturday in a 3-2 win over Northeastern.

Audra Richards, Maine (F, So. Maplewood, Minn.) Grabbed two goals this weekend in a two game series against Providence.

Rebecca Russo, BU (So., F, Westport, Conn.) Scored the Terriers' lone goal at No. 5/6 Harvard on Friday night.

Emily Snodgrass, UConn (Eagan, Minn.) Picked up an assist at Brown and scored a goal on Sunday vs. No. 7 BC.

Samantha Sutherland, BU (Fr., F, Cochrane, Alta.) Assisted on Sarah Lefort's goal on Sunday in a 2-1 win at New Hampshire.

Brittney Thunstrom, PC (So., F, Coon Rapids, Minn.) Tallied the game-winner against Maine on Nov. 23 with her first collegiate goal.

Kayla Tutino, BU (Jr., F, Lorraine, Que.) Her third-period goal on Sunday was the game-winner and she also had an assist as BU bested UNH, 2-1.

Ashley Wilkes, UNH (Fr., G, North Pole, Alaska) Recorded a career-high 27 saves (.931 save%) in the loss to No. 9 Boston University.

Emily Field, BC (LITTLETON, MASS.) notched her 90th career point OVER THE WEEKEND. SHE HAS RECORED 92 POINTS (38G,54a) in 89 career games for bc. SHE has at least one point in five of her last six games (6g,5a)

Melissa Haganey, NU (FRANKLIN, MASS.) scored her first collegiate goal on Saturday at Vermont


TEAM NOTES

Boston College: With the two wins over UConn, BC extended its winning streak to 10 games against the Huskies…Andie Anastos had a goal and two assists over the weekend while Kristyn Capizzano scored two goals and the two are now ranked first and second in WHEA in freshman scoring at 1.00 ppg and 0.80 ppg, respectively….Emily Field tallied two goals and two assists on the weekend and now has 11 points (6-5-11) in her last six games after only recording four points in the first nine games. The Eagles will face off against No. 3 Cornell in two away games this weekend, marking the second time they have taken on a ranked team this season (3-2 loss at No. 7/9 Quinnipiac on 11/15).

Boston University: BU improved to 7-0-0 in Hockey East with a 2-1 win at New Hampshire on Sunday…Terriers improved to 11-3-1 overall and snapped a two-game losing streak, their longest since February. They started last season 11-3-1 as well en route to appearance in NCAA title game…BU has won 22 straight league games…Junior Kayla Tutino became the eighth Terrier to tally a game-winning goal this season…Only seven skaters had a game-winning goal in 2012-13…BU has third-best PK percentage in nation (91.3)…Terriers have allowed just seven goals in the third period all season, including just one in the last four games.

UConn: UConn went 0-2-1 on the week, drawing at Brown before dropping both ends of a home-and-home with No. 7 Boston College…Saw a 25-consecutive penalty kill streak end at BC on Saturday…Michela Cava had a point in each game, scoring at Brown and picking up three assists in two games vs. BC…led early 1-0 on Sunday and tied the contest at 2-2 before the second intermission before ultimately falling…Sarah MacDonnell had two points on Saturday and has 13 in 14 games for UConn

Maine: Maine falls to a 0-10-3 on the 2013-14 season after falling in a two game series against Providence. Maine lost 8-1 on Saturday where sophomore Audra Richard scored Maine's lone goal. On Sunday the Black Bears were more competitive, but Providence still came out on top 4-2. Richards also scored a goal for Maine in Sunday's game along with Missy Denk. Mariah Fujimagari and Meghan Treacy split the weekend in net for the Black Bears. Mariah Made 21 saves in Saturdays game, while Meghann Treacy made 34 saves in Sundays game. Maine scoring is led by Audra Richards with four goals so far this season.

New Hampshire: UNH's penalty kill is perfect (12-for-12) the past three games, including 5 of 5 last Sunday vs. BU… With a second-period goal against BU, the Wildcats have scored 16 of their 36 goals in the middle stanza and are +5 in goals scored that period… UNH is 1-2-0 this season against nationally-ranked teams following the 2-1 loss to ninth-ranked BU… The Wildcats have lost three straight games and are winless in four (0-3-1)… UNH is 1-5-1 in November after a 4-1-1 October… Nicole Gifford extended her team lead in points to 11 and climbed into a tie for third in assists (five) with an assist vs. BU…Jess Ryan recorded an assist for the second consecutive game with a tally against BU.

Northeastern: The Huskies earned a weekend split at Vermont using just 13 skaters… Friday's win snapped the Catamounts three-game unbeaten streak, which was the seventh longest in the nation…On Saturday, Vermont picked up its first victory against Northeastern since Feb. 14, 2009.

Providence: The Friars snapped a seven game losing streak with their first weekend series sweep. The two wins puts Head Coach Bob Deraney within one of tying the all-time coaching record at Providence (264). Eighteen Friars have at least one point, while four have double digit points. Cassidy Carels is the first rookie to notch a hat trick since Nicole Anderson '13 did so against Clarkson on Oct. 16, 2009.

Vermont: The Catamounts are 3-1-1 in their last five Hockey East games…Vermont finishes the first half of league play in third place with nine points and a 4-3-1 mark…The Catamounts are tied for second in the NCAA with five road wins this season…Amanda Pelkey set the career record at Vermont in points this weekend, she currently has 54…With two more goals she will tie Erin Wente's (2009-13) career record of 27 goals…Roxanne Douville is 4-2-1 in league games this season with a 2.06 GAA and a .928 save percentage.
