Pelkey picked up a league-high four points (2g,2a) leading Vermont to a two-game road sweep vs. Maine this weekend. She recorded two goals on Saturday and two assists on Sunday. She registered five shots and a +2 rating for the Catamounts on the weekend. Warrior

The Catamounts earned a pair of road wins at Maine over the weekend by scores of 4-1 on Saturday and 5-0 on Sunday at Alfond Arena. Vermont went 3-for-8 (37.5%) on the power play vs. the Black Bears.

HOCKEY EAST WEEKLY TOP PERFORMERS

Sarah Bayersdorfer, BU (Jr., F, Short Hills, N.J.) Scored on her only shot of the weekend in a 2-0 win over St. Cloud State on Friday.

Dayna Colang, Vermont (So., D, Anchorage Alaska) Recorded three points and was a +3 in Vermont's two-game sweep at Maine.

Katie MacSorley, NU (Sr., F, Stratford, Ont.) Had a pair of assists on Friday against No. 2 Wisconsin.

Lillian Ribeirinha-Braga, BU (So., D, Winchester, Mass.) Blocked a team-high eight shots on the weekend.

Meghan Riggs, BU (Sr., F, Eden Prairie, Minn.) Assisted on Sarah Bayersdorfer's goal against St. Cloud State.

Kerrin Sperry, BU (Sr., G, North Reading, Mass.) Blanked St. Cloud State, 2-0, thanks to a 28-save performance (.927 save%).

Samatha Sutherland, BU (Fr., F, Cochrane, Alta.) Scored an unassisted game-winning goal against St. Cloud State on Friday.

Kelly Wallace, NU (Sr., Forward, Libertyville, Ill.) Had a goal in each game last weekend, including a power play goal against No. 2 Wisconsin.

Brittany Zuback, Vermont (Jr., Thunder Bay, Ont.) Scored the game-winning goal on Sunday at Maine and added three assists on the weekend.

TEAM NOTES

Boston College: Boston College lost to Quinnipiac 3-2 and then tied Princeton 1-1 over the weekend, marking the first time the Eagles have played two games without winning. Sophomore Haley Skarupa has a six-game point streak and has 11 points in that stretch (5 goals and six assists). Skarupa also scored her conference-leading 13th goal of the season against Princeton. Goaltender Megan Miller got her second start in net this season against Princeton, and stopped 33 shots in the tie. Freshman Andie Anastos scored her 7th goal of the season in the game against Quinnipiac and leads Hockey East in points per game (0.92).

Boston University: BU had its eight-game win streak snapped on Saturday against Wisconsin…Saturday's loss was the first time that BU allowed more than three goals in a game…The Terriers have won every game in which they have scored…Senior Kerrin Sperry earned her second shutout of the season with a 28-save performance against St. Cloud State…Both of her shutouts this year have been 28-save efforts…It was her first shutout at a neutral site since a 4-0, 42-save win against Providence in last season's Hockey East semifinals…Senior Meghan Riggs has assisted on both of junior Sarah Bayersdorfer's goals this season…Freshman Samantha Sutherland's goal on Friday was the Terriers' third unassisted goal of the season …Senior captain Louise Warren and sophomore Sarah Lefort have the other two…The two-day event in Vail, Colo., attracted a total of 1,609 spectators.

Connecticut: UConn was idle this weekend…the Huskies visit Brown on Tuesday night before a home-and-home with Boston College on Saturday and Sunday…UConn is 4-3-2 all-time against the Bears…the Huskies are 13-16-7 vs. BC…UConn is 45-for-49 on the PK this year, including a perfect 15-for-15 in WHEA play…UConn is second in the nation with a 91.8 percent kill rate…UConn is ninth nationally in combined ST with a 55.8 percent mark, second in WHEA…Sarah MacDonnell (1-4-5) and Kelly Harris (1-2-3) are each on three-game point streaks…UConn has killed 22 straight power plays, last allowing a PPG on Oct. 11 vs. Colgate

Maine: Maine Black Bears fall to a 0-9-3 record on the season after a two games series with Vermont on Saturday and Sunday. The Catamounts defeated Maine 4-1 on Saturday and 5-1 on Sunday. Sophomore Audra Richards and freshman Eve Boissonneault scored Maine's goals this weekend. Maine scoring is lead by Karissa Kirkup, Audra Richards, Brianne Kilgour, Kelly McDonald, Emilie Brigham and Jennifer More all with two goals. Senior Kayla Kaluzny leads Maine with four assists so far this season. Sophomore goal Meghann Treacy was in the net for the Black Bears this weekend making a total of 52 saves this weekend giving her a total off 400 saves so far this season. Maine travels to Providence on November 23rd for a two game series.

New Hampshire: UNH fell to 1-3-0 vs. ECAC opponents following last weekend's road losses to Princeton (3-1) and seventh-ranked Quinnipiac (2-1)…UNH's penalty kill was a perfect 7-for-7 in those games…Jessica Hitchcock moved into a tie for the team lead in assists (six) with a helper at Princeton… Rookie Cassandra Vilgrain ranks second on the team in points (nine), third in goals (four) and tied for third in assists (five)…In two career starts, rookie Ashley Wilkes is 1-1-0 with a 1.52 GAA and .936 save percentage… The Wildcats went winless in four November road games (0-3-1)…One game after surrendering three goals to Vermont in a four-minute span, UNH allowed three Princeton goals in just 2:05 spanning the second and third periods…The 'Cats recorded a season-low eight shots at Quinnipiac, including zero in the third period.

Northeastern: Northeastern participated in a two-day tournament in Vail, Colo. featuring No. 2 Wisconsin, No. 8 Boston University and St. Cloud State…The Huskies scored two power play goals on Friday against Wisconsin, the first time they've done that since Feb. 12, 2013 against Boston College.

Providence: Eight Friars have tallied at least one multipoint game on the season. Currently 18 Friars have notched at least one point on the season, with Stephanie DeMars (Vermontville, N.Y.) notching her first point on the season with her first collegiate goal against seventh-ranked Clarkson (Nov. 15).

Vermont: After Amanda Pelkey and Brittany Zuback picked up four points apiece this weekend, they are now second and third in Hockey East scoring…With her four-point weekend Pelkey is now tied with Emily Walsh (2009-13) as the Vermont all-time career leader with 52 points…The Catamounts are undefeated (3-0-1) when Zuback scores this season…Vermont is now 3-2-1 after its first six Hockey East games, it is the best record the Catamounts have ever had after six league games…Roxanne Douville is now 3-1-1 in five conference appearances this season with a .931 save percentage and 2.08 GAA …The Catamounts host Northeastern this weekend and they will be seeking their first home-win of the season, Vermont is 0-2-2 in four games at Gutterson Fieldhouse this season.
