Coyne made the most of an abbreviated December slate with seven points
(4g,3a) over three games. On Dec. 3 at New Hampshire, Coyne netted
twice, including the game-tying goal in the third period, as the Huskies
skated to a 3-3 draw in Durham. In the return match the next day, the
U.S. international opened the scoring and added a late assist in a 5-1 rout
of the Wildcats at Matthews Arena. On Dec. 7 against Boston University,
she tallied an unassisted game-winner and later assisted strikes from
senior tri-captain Stephanie Gavronsky and junior Brittany Esposito as
Northeastern downed BU, 4-1.

Boyles went 3-1-0 in the month with a 1.95 GAA and a .933 save
percentage. She delivered a .936 save percentage (73-for-78) in
two games against No. 6 Mercyhurst. She made a season-high 42
saves, including 21 in the third period, to help the Eagles defeat
the Lakers for the first time since 2001 and establish a program
mark for wins (12) before the winter break. The junior denied 30
shots by the nation's second ranked offense the next day.

Alex Carpenter – Boston College

Carpenter notched five points in the month in four games leading
the team to a 3-1-0 record in the month. She registered three points
in two games against No. 6 Mercyhurst. Late in the first meeting,
the freshman stick handled through the Lakers' defense to seal a
4-2 win with an empty netter, marking the first win for Boston College
over Mercyhurst in 10 years. The following day, she gave the
Eagles an early lead by going top shelf against NCAA wins record
holder Hilary Pattenden and later assisted the equalizer that sent
the game into overtime.
