Vermont will host Boston College for a two-game WHEA series this weekend at Gutterson Field House

No. 8 Boston College at Vermont - Two-Game Series (Fri., Sat.)

- Boston College has scored nine goals in two victories to start the season.

- Last season, they split the season series 1-1-1. The teams last met on Nov. 29 of last year, a 3-3 tie at Gutterson Fieldhouse and BC went on to win the shootout.


Providence at Syracuse (Fri.) at Colgate (Sat.)

- Providence is 4-1-2 against Colgate since 2003.

- Friars forward Kate has scored at least one goal in each of the last three games, including a hat trick vs. St. Lawrence last Saturday, a performance that earned her Pure Hockey Player of the Week honors on Monday.


Connecticut at Colgate (Fri.) at Syracuse (Sat.)

- UConn senior forward Jennifer Chaisson has a three-game point streak to start the season.

- The Huskies are 3-1-0 against Colgate since the 2005-2006 season.


New Hampshire at Rensselaer (Fri.) at Union (Sat.)

- New Hampshire is finding scoring through underclassmen Arielle O'Neill (2-1-3), and Kristina Lavoie (1-1-2) have led the Wildcats in scoring so far.

- New Hampshire won the only meeting with Rensselaer 4-3 (November, 21, 2010).


Wayne State at Boston University - Two-Game Series (Fri., Sat.)

- Last season Boston University was 1-0-1 in the weekend series last year at Wayne State.

- Boston University has found offense from Jenn Wakefield with eight points (5g), and freshman Marie-Philip Poulin who has scored seven points (4g) in three games.


Quinnipiac at Maine - Two-Game Series (Fri., Sat.)

- Maine concludes it's six-game home stand against Quinnipiac this weekend.

- Sophomore forward Brittany Dougherty leads the team in scoring with eight points (3g) in four contests this season. Dougherty and BU's Jenn Wakefield are tied for the league lead in scoring.


Northeastern at Robert Morris - Two-Game Series (Sat., Sun.)

- Sunday's game is the Pittsburgh College Hockey Showcase. Robert Morris is hosting this event that offers the opportunity to watch three college hockey games in the same day for the price of one ticket. The Showcase is the official kickoff event for the new Consol Energy Center.
