HOCKEY EAST HEADLINES
#3 Northeastern claimed two wins over Vermont by scores of 4-0 and 10-2, earning the Huskies' fifth consecutive shutout in the process. Alina Mueller (Winterthur, Switzerland) led all Hockey East players, and tied for the NCAA lead, with six points last weekend on one goal and five assists. Aerin Frankel (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y.) recorded her eighth shutout of the season in a 4-0 victory on Friday, her fourth consecutive blank sheet, and extended her shutout streak to 253:44 before it came to an end on Saturday.
UConn swept Maine in a two-game set, earning decisions by scores of 2-1 and 5-2. Catherine Crawley (Washingtonville, N.Y.) potted two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in Saturday's victory.
New Hampshire toppled Holy Cross twice, off the back of goaltending from freshman Nikki Harnett (Plymouth, Minn.). Harnett won Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for her efforts that included a 17-save shutout in a 3-0 victory on Friday. The rookie netminder added 21 saves in a 5-2 win on Saturday. Harnett also picked up her first career point on Friday, an assist on the third tally of the night for the Wildcats.
Boston College and Providence split a home-and-home series that saw the Eagles take a 2-1 overtime decision on Friday before the Friars offense came alive in a 5-2 triumph in Providence. Kate Annese (Needham, Mass.) recorded two assists, including one on the game-winner, on Friday night. Sara Hjalmarsson (Bankeryd, Sweden) scored twice, including the decisive tally, on Saturday.
#7 Boston University took three of four points from Merrimack thanks in part to
Deziray De Sousa (Montreal, Que.) who tallied a goal and two assists on the
weekend. She tallied the game-winner and had the primary assist on another goal
in a 6-3 road win on Saturday and now tallied six points (3g, 3a) over her last five
games, including two game-winning tallies and a game-winning assist.

Nikki Harnett - New Hampshire
Nikki Harnett (Plymouth,
Minn.) earned two wins over
Holy Cross on the weekend,
including a 17-save shutout
in a 3-0 victory on Friday. The
rookie netminder added 21
saves in a 5-2 win on Saturday.
Harnett also picked up
her first career point on Friday,
an assist on the third tally
of the night for the Wildcats.

Aerin Frankel - Northeastern
Aerin Frankel (Briarcliff Manor,
N.Y.) recorded her eighth
shutout of the season in a
4-0 victory over Vermont on
Friday, her fourth consecutive
blank sheet. Frankel posted
37 saves on 39 shots, two
victories, and 100 minutes of
work this past weekend. She
extended her shutout streak
to 253:44 before it came to an
end on Saturday.
HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS
Lindsay Agnew, BC (Jr., F; Oakville, Ont.) Had one goal and an assist in a weekend split with Providence. She finished with five shots on net and a plus-two rating.
Hannah Bilka, BC (Fr., F; Coppell, Texas) Dished out two helpers last weekend and posted a team-best nine shots on goal in a split series with Providence.
Jillian Fey, BC (So., D; Nantucket, Mass.) Scored her first career game-winning goal in overtime against Providence on Friday, her first tally of the year. The sophomore finished as a plus-two and recorded one blocked shot.
Kate Annese, BC (Sr., F; Needham, Mass.) Recorded two assists, including one on the game-winner, against Providence on Friday night's 2-1 overtime win. She had four shots on goal on the weekend split and one blocked shot.
Deziray De Sousa, BU (Sr., F; Montreal, Que.) De Sousa tallied a goal and two assists as the Terriers took three of four points against Merrimack. She had the primary helper on the Terriers' goal in Friday's 1-1 tie and then tallied the game-winner and had the primary assist on another goal in a 6-3 road win on Saturday. De Sousa has now tallied six points over her last five games.
Julia Nearis, BU (Fr., F; Beverly, Mass.) Nearis opened the scoring for BU on Saturday in the Terriers' 6-3 win at Merrimack. She was on the ice for three goals over the weekend and also blocked a shot.
Catherine Crawley, UConn (Sr., F; Washingtonville, N.Y.) Potted two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in a 5-2 win over Maine on Saturday.
Taylor Wabick, UConn (Jr., D; Winnipeg, Man.) Had three points (1g, 2a) in Saturday's 5-2 win over Maine. She ranks fourth on her tam with 15 points (4g, 11a).
Meghara McManus, UNH (Sr., F; Milton, Mass.) Scored three goals on the weekend and leads her team with 14 on the year after a 2-0-0 weekend sweep of Holy Cross. She also added an assist for four points.
Tamara Thiérus, UNH (Fr., F; Saint-Jerome, Que.) Pushed her point streak to four games (2g, 2a) with a goal in each of New Hampshire's two wins over Holy Cross.
Peyton Anderson, NU (Fr., F; Arvada, Colo.) Led all Hockey East freshman with five points through two victories on two goals and three assists. Anderson tied a career-high with three points (1g, 2a) in the 4-0 victory over Vermont, while recording her first multi-assist game.
Chloé Aurard, NU (So., F; Villard-de-Lans, France) Netted a hat trick and added an assist for four points in Northeastern's 10-2 victory over Vermont on Saturday.
