-Max Crozier scored first against the Black Bears 11:16 into the opening stanza on the power play. Assisted by Nick Poisson and Brett Berard, it marked Crozier's second goal of the season.
-The Black Bears netted the equalizer less than five minutes into the middle stanza with a goal from Ben Poisson, brother of Providence's Nick Poisson. Veli-Matti Tiuraniemi and Eduards Tralmaks earned the assists on the play.
-Michael Callahan's second goal of the season handed Providence a one-goal lead, 2-1, with 9:42 remaining in the second period. Matt Tugnutt dished the puck to Callahan off the boards who fired it to the top corner.
-Maine's Brady Gaudette evened the game at 2-2 with 9:52 remaining in final period, assisted by John Mulera.
-The Black Bears took the lead for the first time of the night with a goal from Ben Poisson with 6:08 to go in the regulation. On his second goal of the night, Poisson was assisted by Adam Dawe and Jakub Sirota.
-Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup scored the game-winning goal for the Black Bears into an empty net with 1:40 to go in regulation.
-Uula Ruikka cut the deficit to 4-3 with only 20 seconds left in regulation, assisted by Tyce Thompson and Greg Printz.
- The Friars nearly tied it at the buzzer but Michael Callahan's wrister from the point struck the crossbar.
- Maine snapped a 12-game losing streak at Schneider Arena dating back to 2010.
