Dylan Jackson Nets OT Goal As Northeatern Rallies To Top Merrimack, 3-2
Freshman forward Dylan Jackson scored at 2:19 of overtime for the Huskies

BOSTON - Dylan Jackson scored the game winner in overtime on great passing from his twin brother Ty Jackson to complete the come-from-behind victory for No. 14 Northeastern (4-3-2 Hockey East) over Merrimack (1-4-0 Hockey East), 3-2 (OT), on Saturday night inside Matthews Arena. The Huskies rallied from two goals down in the third period to tie the game and won in the extra period.

Grant Jozefek got the Huskies on the board on a penalty shot just four minutes into the third period on a nice deke against the Merrimack goaltender. Connor Murphy made some big stops for the Red and Black between the pipes, stopping 37 shots on the night, and Gunnarwolfe Fontaine tied the game with just over three minutes left on assists from the Jackson brothers.

In overtime, Dylan Jackson and his twin brother Ty Jackson played a nice two-man game down low that ended with the game-winning goal just two minutes in. This was Dylan Jackson's first goal and assist night, and his third two-point game of the season.

The 14th-ranked Huskies and Warriors will battle again on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Lawler Rink. The game can be heard on 98.5 HD2 and watched on College Sports Live.
