SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Northeastern men's hockey team earned its first win of the season Friday night, taking down Union, 2-1. Four Huskies registered points in the contest, with sophomore Jordan Harris and junior Grant Jozefek leading the charge with a goal apiece. In his first showing in the Red and Black, goalie Craig Pantano made 18 stops on 19 shots on goal.

The Dutchmen struck first in the contest, sneaking one past Pantano to take the early 1-0 lead at just under the seven-minute mark. The Huskies were able to hold off Union for the remainder of the period, holding the Dutchmen to just eight shots on goal and keeping them scoreless on the power play.

Defenseman Harris was able to break Northeastern's scoring drought with a goal late in the second, finding the back of the net off a between-the-legs pass from Zach Solow at 13:48.

Taking advantage of a power play opportunity, Jozefek went top shelf off a deep pass from Jeremie Bucheler to give Northeastern the 2-1 lead and secure the win at just over three minutes into the final frame.

The Huskies look to secure the sweep tomorrow night against the Dutchmen at 4 p.m.
