BOSTON, Mass. - Jordan Greenway's power-play goal just 29 seconds into overtime lifted the No. 7 Boston University men's ice hockey team to a 2-1 win over No. 11 UMass Lowell on Friday night at Agganis Arena.

BU improved to 17-8-4 overall and 10-4-3 in Hockey East thanks to Greenway's fifth marker of the season. He provided a screen in front of Kevin Boyle (28 saves) and redirected senior captain Matt Grzelcyk's shot from the top of the zone. Senior Ahti Oksanen supplied the secondary assist on the goal.

Senior Mike Moran opened the scoring 17:23 into the second period after collecting freshman Charlie McAvoy's outlet pass and converting a breakaway chance for his third goal of the season. UMass Lowell (17-7-5, 10-5-4 HEA) tied the game 12:31 into the third.

Sean Maguire turned in a second straight stupendous outing, stopping 25 of the 26 shots he faced. He has allowed just one goal in each of his last two starts and owns a .951 save percentage at home this season.

BU held a 30-26 shot advantage and went 1-for-2 on the power play while killing off both of the River Hawks' chances with the man advantage.

The Terriers are now 11-2-2 at home, reaching the 11-win mark at Agganis for just the second team in the past six seasons.

The two teams will wrap up their home-and-home series on Saturday (Feb. 13) at the Tsongas Center in Lowell. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
