BOSTON - Senior goaltender Sean Maguire stopped all 15 shots he saw and three different Terriers had two points apiece to lead the No. 11/12 Boston University men's ice hockey team to a 3-0 victory over Bentley on Tuesday night at Agganis Arena.

Senior Danny O'Regan's first-period marker stood as the game-winner while junior Doyle Somerby and freshman Jakob Forsbacka Karlsson also lit the lamp. Somerby and O'Regan each had a helper as well, and sophomore Brandon Hickey had a pair of assists. Freshman Ryan Cloonan and senior Ahti Oksanen had the primary helper on the first two goals.

BU (7-4-2) scored in all three periods and Maguire was perfect in all three frames, keeping Bentley (5-5-1) scoreless for the first time this season. Nine of his saves came in the final 20 minutes, with the Terrier penalty killers negating 1:37 of 5-on-3 power-play time during the third period.

The Terriers held a 47-15 shot advantage and scored on one of their three power-play opportunities. The penalties on the 5-on-3 were the only ones BU took on the night. Senior Gabe Antoni made 44 saves in goal for the Falcons.

O'Regan scored on a breakaway with a backhand just 3:01 into the contest following an elevated pass by Oksanen. Hickey picked up the secondary assist on the play.

BU used its power play to double its lead with 2:37 left in the second. A right-point shot by Somerby found the back of the net in large part due to a perfect screen at the crease by freshman Jordan Greenway.

The goal scorers teamed up to set up the third goal, as Somerby found O'Regan to set up a rush into the Bentley zone. O'Regan passed off to Forsbacka Karlsson, who sniped a shot past Antoni from the right circle.

The shutout was the fifth of Maguire's career and his first since back-to-back perfect performances on March 9 & 15, 2013.

The Terriers will return to action on Saturday (Nov. 28) when they head to New York City to take on No. 15/16 Cornell in the fifth installment of Red Hot Hockey at Madison Square Garden. Game time is set for 8 p.m.
