Boston, Mass. - Thanks to a four-goal flurry in the third period, the top-ranked Boston University men's ice hockey team posted a 5-2 comeback win over No. 9 Colgate on Saturday afternoon at Agganis Arena.

Senior Evan Rodrigues scored two goals, including the go-ahead tally, and junior captain Matt Grzelcyk earned a career-high three assists to help the Terriers improve to 9-2-1 on the year. The Raiders moved to 9-5-1.

After erasing a 1-0 deficit with freshman Chase Phelps' first collegiate goal on a second-period power play, BU fell into a 2-1 hole when Colgate potted a power-play tally of its own late in the second.

Freshman Jack Eichel drew BU even once more when he scored just 16 seconds into the third period off a pass by Grzelcyk.

The Terriers used the man advantage to take the lead for good. A rebound off a shot by Grzelcyk at the top of the slot found its way to junior Ahti Oksanen at the foot of the right circle. Oksanen spotted Rodrigues in the right slot and he sent the puck past Colgate netminder Charlie Finn at the 11:27 mark of the third.

Junior Danny O'Regan extended his point streak to 10 games with his eighth goal of the year, which came with 1:27 remaining in regulation and was assited by Grzelcyk and Eichel.

Rodrigues capped the four-goal burst with an empty-netter in the final second.

Junior Matt O'Connor made 27 saves in goal for the Terreirs to pick up his eighth victory of the season. Finn stopped 25 in a losing effort.

Tyson Spink opened the scoring for the visitors on a rush just 4:20 into the contest. The junior backhanded the puck over O'Connor's glove after fellow junior Kyle Baun picked off a BU pass.

The Raiders regained the lead on Mike Panowyk's power-play marker, as the freshman knocked in an elevated rebound at the right crease with 2:32 left in the second.

BU went 2-of-4 on the power play and killed off three of the Raiders' four power-play chances.

The Terriers will close out a stretch of five games in 10 days on Sunday (Nov. 30) when they visit Dartmouth for a 4 p.m. contest.
