Junior goaltender Matt DiGirolamo made 31 saves for the Wildcats

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore Dalton Speelman's goal late in the second period snapped a 1-1 tie and lifted 10th-ranked New Hampshire to a 2-1 Hockey East win over fourth-ranked Boston College before 6,473 fans in Kelley Rink.

New Hampshire led 1-0 after one period on sophomore John Henrion's goal at 10:06. Boston College sophomore Patch Alber evened the score at 4:25 of the second period, before Speelman netted the decisive score at 15:03.

The game, which started 15 minutes late because of a late arrival by the visiting Wildcats, featured just one penalty. UNH was called for a minor infraction at 11:54 of the third period.

BC registered a narrow 32-30 shot advantage.

New Hampshire junior Matt DiGirolamo made 31 saves. BC senior John Muse made 28 stops.
