Vermont hosts the Catamount Cup on Thursday and Friday at Gutterson Field House

UMass-Lowell vs. Rensselaer (Thurs., Fri. at UConn Holiday Tournament)

• Chad Ruhwedel's 1.00 points per game ranks seventh in the country amongst Div. I defensemen. He is also the top scoring blueliner in the league with 14 points.

• Doug Carr's 82% win percentage is third best among goaltenders in the nation.

Maine vs. Clarkson (Thurs., Fri. at Florida College Classic)

• Spencer Abbott ranks tied for fourth in the country posting 1.53 points per game in 15 games this season for the Black Bears.

Massachusetts vs. Cornell (Thurs., Fri. at Florida College Classic)

• T.J. Syner has a point in his last four games with four points (2g,2a) and 15 shots on goal during that time.

No. 3 Boston College vs. Michigan (Thurs., Fri. at the Great Lakes Invitational)

• Boston College is making its fourth appearance in the GLI. The Eagles are 4-2 in six GLI contests. BC earned the '03 GLI, earning a 4-3 victory over Michigan State in the championship game.

• Freshman goalie Brian Billett has started four of the last five games. He is 3-1-0 and has stopped 111-of-118 shots (.941 save%) during that time.

Lake Superior (Thurs.), Ferris State (Fri.) at Vermont (Catamount Cup)

• Conor Brickley has a goal in four of his last five games, while teammate Sebastian Stålberg has three points (1g,2a) in his last two contests. Brickley will miss the Catamount Cup game due to the World Juniors Tournament.

No. 7 Merrimack vs. St. Lawrence (Fri., Sat. at the Dartmouth Tournament)

• Joe Cannata was named the Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season on Monday, Dec. 18. He leads all Hockey East goaltenders in GAA (1.77) and save percentage (.937), stopped 31 shots, 10 during Union's power plays, in a 3-1 loss Saturday.

Northeastern vs. Princeton (Fri., Sat. at the Mariucci Classic)

• The Huskies six-game unbeaten streak is the third longest in the country and their six straight victories is the best current streak in the nation.

•The 2011 Mariucci Classic marks the third occasion the Huskies have played in the tournament. Northeastern have a 3-1-0 record in the tournament and won the title back in 1997.

• Braden Pimm's +13 plus/minus rating is best among conference players.

Brown at UNH (Friday at the Whittemore Center)

• The Wildcats own a 20-13-2 all-time record vs. Brown in 35 all-time meetings. UNH is unbeaten in the last eight meetings with Brown (7-0-1) including a 5-5 come-back tie last year.

No. 9 Boston University at No. 6 Notre Dame (Sat. at Compton Family Ice Arena, VERSUS)

• Kieran Millan has won five of his last six starts for the Terriers. He owns a 2.10 GAA and a .935 save percentage during those six games.

• PC's Tim Schaller's six power play goals rank tied for third in the country among Div. I skaters.
