New Hampshire goaltender Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) allowed just one goal to #7 Massachusetts as he backboned his team to take three out of four points from the Minutemen. He stopped 57 of 58 shots on the weekend, including a 31- save effort in a 1-0 road shutout.

Maine toppled #4 Boston College in overtime twice on the road as the Black Bears improved to 12-9-4 on the year. Tim Doherty (Portsmouth, R.I.) scored two goals and assisted on three others while Jeremy Swayman (Anchorage, Alaska) stopped 37 of 40 shots Friday and 36 of 38 on Saturday night.

Merrimack earned three of four league points against Vermont in a pair of comefrom- behind games in North Andover. Freshman Mac Welsher (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) capped a come-from-behind win Saturday night when he netted the overtime winner to lift Merrimack to a 4-3 win. It was the rookie's second goal of the night after he kick-started a three-goal rally for the Warriors at 13:54 of the third period.

Boston University took three of four points from #12 UMass Lowell in a weekend home-and-home series. In Friday night's 5-0 win, Patrick Harper (New Canaan, Conn.) scored two goals and added an assist in a span of less than five minutes during a wild third period. The next night ended in a 2-2 draw that saw UMass Lowell sophomore defenseman Chase Blackmun (Hudson, Wis.) register two points (1g, 1a).

UConn participated in the inaugural Connecticut Ice Festival that featured a tworound tournament between the state's four Division I men's ice hockey programs. UConn lost a one-game contest to #17 Quinnipiac in the semifinals and fell to Yale, 3-2, in the third-place game.

Mike Robinson - New Hampshire

Mike Robinson (Bedford, N.H.) allowed just one goal over two games as the Wildcats took three of four league points from #7 UMass that ranked ninth nationally with 3.50 goals per game entering the series. He made 57 saves on 58 shots faced for a .983 save percentage and a 0.48 goals against average. Robinson posted his second shutout of the season and the seventh of his career with 31 saves as the Wildcats won 1-0 at the Mullins Center on Friday, while he recorded 26 saves on Saturday in the 1-1 tie at the Whittemore Center. Robinson has a .910 save percentage and a 2.34 goals against average this season.

Mac Welsher - Merrimack

Mac Welsher (Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.) capped a come-from-behind win Saturday night when he netted the overtime winner to lift Merrimack to a 4-3 win over Vermont. It was the rookie's second goal of the night after he kick-started a three-goal rally for the Warriors at 13:54 of the third period.

Jeremy Swayman - Maine

Jeremy Swayman (Anchorage, Alaska) stopped 37 of 40 shots Friday night and 36 of 38 Saturday night during Maine's two overtime road victories at #4 Boston College. Swayman faced 22 power-play shots Saturday night and only allowed one goal during the Eagles' eight power-play opportunities.


HOCKEY EAST TOP PERFORMERS

Matt Boldy, BC (Fr., F; Millis, Mass.) Registered a team-best three helpers in a two-game set with Maine. He fired a career- high nine shots on net on Saturday an finished the weekend with 15. Over this last five outings, Boldy is averaging 1.00 point per game (1g, 4a).

Patrick Harper, BU (Sr., F; New Canaan, Conn.) Scored two goals and added an assist in BU's 5-0 win over #12 UMass Lowell on Friday night.

Trevor Zegras, BU (Fr., F; Bedford, N.Y.) Tallied four points (1g, 3a) in a split series with #12 UML. He potted a goal and added two helpers in Friday's 5-0 win.

Ashton Abel, BU (Fr., G; Fort McMurray, Alta.) Posted a .955 save percentage and 0.96 goals-against average in a weekend split with #12 UMass Lowell, highlighted by a 17-save shutout in his first-ever home start for the Terriers in Friday's 5-0 win.

Tim Doherty, ME (Sr., F; Portsmouth, R.I.) The senior scored two goals and assisted on three others during Maine's two overtime victories on the road at #4 Boston College. Doherty scored the game-winning goal Friday night in the extra frame and assisted on the last goal in Saturday night's triumph.

Tyler Irvine, MC (Sr., F; Livonia, Mich.) Continued with his outstanding final season in North Andover, as he tallied a four points on a goal and three assists to help Merrimack take three of four points from Vermont. Irvine now has multiple points in three straight games and in four of his last five outings since he returned to the Warriors' lineup from injury with three goals and five assists in that span.

William MacKinnon, UNH (So., D; Plymouth, Mich.) Scored the only goal of a 1-0 road win at #7 Massachusetts as part of a weekend that saw the Wildcats take three of four league points from the Minutemen.
